Tom Cuffari is a versatile musician with a diverse career ranging from classical pianist to Broadway keyboardist/director to choral conductor. As a pianist, he has been featured at venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in CA. A highly sought-after collaborative artist in all musical genres, Tom has worked with numerous classical musicians as well as Ben Vereen, Bernie Williams, Debbie Gravitte and John Patitucci.
As a theater musician, Tom held the keyboardist position for the first National Tour of Nice Work If You Can Get It, was a rehearsal pianist for the Broadway production of An American in Paris, and was a sub keyboard player for the 2016 revival Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof. He has worked as pianist at many regional theaters including Ridgefield Playhouse, Soho Playhouse, White Plains Performing Art Center and ACT of CT.
As a choral director, Tom has prepared choruses for many notable musicians and entertainers. He prepped the choruses for Josh Groban on his “Bridges” tour (which aired on PBS, Good Morning America and the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon), for Pete Townshend’s Classic Quadrophenia at the Metropolitan Opera House, the Sarah Brightman “Hymn” tour, and for the National Tour of “Star Wars – In Concert.” He’s also prepared choirs for the Hunchback of Notre Dame at the White Plains Performing Arts Center and for the bands 30 Seconds to Mars and Cage The Elephant.
Tom is delighted to be the new Artistic Director of the Bronx County Chorus.
