Welcome and Welcome Back!
The Bronx County Chorus members are getting together and singing for the first time since March of 2020!
After reviewing the situation of the current pandemic, our Board of Directors and our new director, Tom Cuffari are currently planning to begin in-person rehearsals this Tuesday, October 5th. Of course, the situation is constantly changing, and the safety of our membership will always be our first priority.
Tom has an exciting program planned on the theme of “Reconnecting.” In our first rehearsals, we will work on music preparation: text, meaning, and interpretation.
When we begin rehearsals in person, everyone attending will be required to show proof of COVID vaccination to enter. We will also have an option for those not present in-person to see and hear the rehearsal (and sing along in their own spaces) with a camera focused on the director.
Although this is not the way we had hoped to begin our fall season, it is undoubtedly the only way to keep our valued membership safe. Simply put, we can’t risk a single illness by hosting a high-transmission activity, such as choral singing. Together, as always, we will continue our good work of exploring, learning, and growing as a chorus… and… having some great fun along the way!
To join us as we reconnect as a choral community, email info@bronxcountychorus.org to get more information and the Zoom link for our first rehearsals.
